"Certifications"
There are a variety of certifications that Thermal Services technician may receive,
most notably the NATE (North American Technician Excellence) certification. This
is a third party organization that offers continuing education and testing for certification
of HVAC technicians. Candidates can earn installation and/or service certification
in five specialty areas: air-conditioning, air distribution, heat pumps, gas heating
& oil heating. Technicians are required to maintain their certifications through
a recertification process every 5 years, and to document at least 60 hours of continuing
education.
NATE certification training helps ensure that our customers get service from technicians
that are held to a higher standard. We don't just say they are the best—they have
to prove it through rigorous certification testing.
